Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and ensure accurate record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment and contribute to the organisation’s financial health. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain practical experience in finance.

Duties

Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and invoice processing
Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
Process payments, receipts, and expense claims in accordance with company policies
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
Support the finance team during audits and compliance checks
Contribute to the improvement of financial procedures and controls

Qualifications

Proven experience or strong interest in finance, accounting, or related fields
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software is advantageous
Strong numerical ability and accuracy in data entry
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Relevant qualifications such as AAT or similar are desirable but not essential
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking practical experience in finance within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
