Overview

Join our dedicated care team as a Senior Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in a vibrant care home environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support a team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered with compassion, professionalism, and enthusiasm. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital part in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for all residents while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership skills and commitment to excellence will help create a positive environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
Develop, review, and update personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, preferences, and health conditions.
Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans.
Maintain clear communication with residents, their families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Assist with transportation needs for appointments or outings, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
Monitor the environment for safety hazards and report any concerns promptly to maintain a secure living space.
Complete accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems efficiently.

Experience

Proven experience working in a care home setting with a focus on senior care or similar environments.
Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare or social care sectors is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
Ability to develop and implement detailed care plans based on individual assessments.
Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation duties when required.
