Full job description

DSFS Ltd are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join the team to deliver high quality value for money procurement services on behalf of Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and external clients. You will need to demonstrate strong team working skills; have experience of working in a Procurement or Logistics environment and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and stock management skills.

This post will play a key role in ensuring the procurement of the right goods at the right price delivered to the right place at the right time. This will be achieved by working together with clients and service users to understand their procurement needs, and by working together to standardise and rationalise products and ensure that best value for money products are purchased.

To assist in the implementation and maintenance of a logistics and materials managed service by utilising the following

Work with sensitivity and an understanding of the issues facing front line staff

Displaying the core DSFS values

Listen to clients and engage in productive discussions about supply options

Provide specialist day to day logistics knowledge and advice to clients

Encourage users to utilise the materials management supply route and expand ward / department specific electronic catalogues

Influence user choice to standardise products and reduce costs

Promptly and proactively resolve queries and resolve complaints

work closely with procurement to support standardisation
