Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
Assist with setting up and clearing tables when required
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating good basic maths skills
Manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
Strong communication skills and a positive approach to customer service
Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol legally
A personable demeanour with the ability to work as part of a team
