Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase their skills in a fast-paced, hospitality environment. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role is a 4 day week with 3 days off providing an excellent work/life balance. There are no late nights and last orders is 8.30pm. We offer 28 days annual leave, a share of tips and automatic enrolment into the NEST pension scheme

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring junior team members
Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Demonstrable culinary expertise with a passion for innovative cuisine
Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or hospitality is highly desirable
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
