Full job description

We are looking for a competent, proactive, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our busy, friendly practice team on a part time basis - Wed, Thurs, Fri 22.5 hours. Start date would be as soon as possible with a 3 month probationary period.

Previous experience of working in a GP practice is preferred; however we will accept applications from those who would be willing to undertake training. A knowledge of EMIS and Docman would be advantageous.

An integral part of the role would be flexibility of hours and duties to cover for other colleagues leave, as well as being a team player. You must have the ability to cope with change and work confidently in a fast paced environment using your own initiative, whilst multitasking. Our ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator with outstanding listening, telephone and strong IT and computer skills. You will provide full administration support to the partners, practice manager, and fellow team members to allow the practice to run smoothly at all times. You will also be required to undertake a full range of administration duties, including dealing with patients in person and by phone, offering an efficient, courteous and confidential service at all times. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and keen to contribute to the full team performance.
