Advert for Patient Advisor

We have several exciting opportunities for Patient Advisors to join our supportive and dedicated GP Practice team. This role involves working Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7.45 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., plus participation in the Saturday rota (8.45 a.m. to 1.15 p.m., pro‑rata).

Are you passionate about delivering excellent patient care and being the first reassuring voice people hear when they need support? If you’re warm, organised, and committed to helping people, you could be the perfect fit.

We are a professional and friendly GP Practice caring for approximately 13,500 patients in Bushbury and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

Patient support — welcoming and assisting patients in person and over the phone
Online triage — scheduling appointments, updating records, and managing enquiries with empathy and professionalism
Clinical liaison — working closely with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient journey
Care Navigation — guiding patients on services, referrals, and next steps in their care

What we’re Looking For

Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
IT‑confident and ideally experienced with clinical systems
Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and remains calm under pressure
A team player with great attention to detail
Previous experience in healthcare and customer service within General Practice
Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy, changing environment
Willingness to provide cover for annual leave/sickness, sometimes at short notice
