Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising bar staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

A background in restaurant or hotel experience, along with culinary knowledge, is highly desirable to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold our high standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction
Manage the organisation of the bar area, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations
Lead by example in serving customers, providing excellent hospitality and ensuring a positive guest experience
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food production, alcohol service, and workplace safety
Assist in training new staff members on service protocols, food safety procedures, and operational standards
Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in serving beverages and managing bar operations effectively
Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant or barista work is advantageous
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining high standards of service
A friendly demeanour combined with professional communication skills
