Full job description

Gateway is a leading property services company, offering expert solutions in property management, sales and lettings, conveyancing, mortgage advice, insurance, facilities management, surveying, and energy management.

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join our busy Corporate Accounts team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

The Person
You will be a people person aligned to the Gateway brand. You will be a great communicator with a track record of delivering the best client and customer experience possible. Promoting the brand and creating new opportunities will come as second nature to you.

The Job

Your role will include:

Processing supplier and customer invoices, ensuring timely payments
Completing bank and petty cash reconciliations
Processing expense claims and month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments

The ideal candidate:

Will have previous experience in Sage Accounting
Be able to prioritise their workload effectively
Possess a meticulous eye for detail
Have previous bank reconciliation experience
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Have great written and verbal communication skills

What You Need

Accounting qualification (full or part) ideally with a minimum requirement of AAT level 3 or equivalent
Experience in Sage Accounting

Job location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive
Annual leave: 23 days plus bank holidays
