Full time permanent role - Mon to Fri - 9am - 5pm
Hybrid working
Tue, 23 Jun 2026
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Integration team at Skipton Building Society. This is a hands-on role building REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and messaging solutions that connect our savings, mortgage, and digital platforms in a secure, regulated environment.
You’ll bring strong Azure integration expertise, take ownership of what you build, and help raise engineering standards through design input, code reviews, and collaboration. This role suits someone who cares about both engineering quality and team ways of working.
You’ll spend most of your time coding, with opportunities to contribute to design, work across teams, and mentor others offering real technical influence while staying close to delivery.
Who Are We?
Not just another building society. Not just another job.
We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members.
Our colleagues say Skipton's a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.
Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.
You’ll join our Integration team, working as part of a collaborative engineering community delivering secure, scalable solutions across savings, mortgages, and member platforms.
The team builds APIs, messaging, and event-driven integrations connecting core systems with internal teams and third parties. You’ll work closely with Product, Architecture, and DevSecOps with real opportunity to influence design and approach.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused team where engineers take ownership and support each other through collaboration and mentoring.
