Job overview

This role sits within the Corporate Performance and Insights Team at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), contributing to the delivery of high-quality performance management, data analysis, and reporting across the organisation. The post holder will support the Trust and its localities to improve performance against key targets and KPIs, working in partnership with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse functions to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful information.

The position plays a central leadership role within the performance team, providing day-to-day operational oversight and line management to Performance Improvement Business Partners. It is responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement in performance, quality, and data integrity, while ensuring consistent and standardised reporting approaches across the Trust. The role requires strong collaboration with operational, clinical, and corporate stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making at locality and board level.

Main duties of the job

Lead the operational delivery of the performance function, including line management and continuing development of a team of Performance Improvement Business Partners and Locality Information Leads, ensuring high standards of performance, professional development, and delivery.

Oversee the production and continuous improvement of Trust-wide and locality reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, standardised, and provide clear insight across clinical, quality, workforce, and patient experience metrics.

Provide expert advice, training, and support to stakeholders, translating complex data into accessible insights, and influencing decision-making across operational and executive forums.

Work closely with internal teams to develop and enhance Business Intelligence tools, dashboards, and reporting systems, promoting self-service and efficient access to performance information.

Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to continuously develop personal expertise, identify opportunities to improve existing processes and systems, and drive innovation in performance reporting and analytical practice.
