Full job description

London Road Dental Practice is a small, friendly private dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality family dentistry, including implants and sedation services.

We are seeking a Part-time Receptionist to join our team for 2 days per week. Ideally on Thursdays and Fridays but there is some degree of flexibility with this. Working hours are 8.45am - 5.30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

About the Role:
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing a smooth, caring, and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting patients warmly upon arrival and managing the check-in process.
Managing the practice appointment book, handling telephone enquiries, and scheduling recalls.
Processing patient payments and managing daily administrative paperwork.
Maintaining a tidy, welcoming reception environment.
Responding to email and chatbot enquiries.
Ensure smooth communication between patients and clinicians.
Assist with billing and insurance documentation as required.

Requirements & Skills:

Previous customer service or administrative experience (healthcare or dental environment is highly regarded).
Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Strong IT skills; experience with dental software systems (such as SOE) is highly desirable, though full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to multitask calmly in a busy practice environment.
Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Friendly demeanour with a team-oriented attitude
