Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant service. The role is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitised to meet health and safety standards
Support with the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts
Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
Support the serving staff during service times when required, including delivering food to tables or assisting with setting up dining areas
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
Experience in serving or working within a busy hospitality setting is beneficial
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
