Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and enthusiasm will help keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Your dedication will ensure that food preparation and service flow seamlessly, allowing the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
Wash, peel, chop, and organize ingredients to ensure smooth workflow
Clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas in compliance with health standards
Support with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold hygiene standards
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure availability during service hours
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving items throughout shifts
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling is advantageous
Experience in hotel or culinary settings can be a plus but is not mandatory
