Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and kitchen organisation, supporting our chefs to deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role offers valuable experience in catering, cooking, and food safety within a professional restaurant setting.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and basic cooking tasks
Support the cooking team with food assembly and plating
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces and equipment
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labelling and rotation
Assist in serving meals to customers or staff as required
Support with general kitchen duties such as washing dishes, utensils, and cleaning kitchen areas
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential
Familiarity with kitchen environments and food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or culinary roles will be beneficial
Knowledge of serving procedures and maintaining hygiene standards is preferred
Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a professional kitchen setting is highly valued

Pay: £12.71 per hour
