Full job description

Care is Central is seeking a motivated and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant who has a keen eye for detail to join our growing team of Housekeepers in Flitwick, Red Kite Meadows. We are looking for Two full time Housekeeping Assistant 40 hours per week

Our modern 64-bed is built to Passivhaus standards, offering an energy-efficient, sustainable environment where we deliver excellent care in a beautiful care home environment.

You’ll join a supportive, hands-on team with a full training programme.

What We Are Offering:

40 hours per week, permanent role
£13.04 per hour
33 days of annual leave per year (including allowance for bank holidays)

What the role entails:

Maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and odour-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff, following all housekeeping procedures and ensuring compliance with strict infection control policies. This includes:

Completing housekeeping, laundry, and documentation accurately
Follow COSHH regulations and maintain up-to-date training
Clean all areas to high standards in line with the housekeeping manual
Safely manage spillages and use cleaning equipment (training provided)
Use cleaning products as instructed
Secure cleaning equipment and chemicals at all times
Use safety signage when required
Report faults and remove unsafe equipment
Follow safeguarding policies and Duty of Candour

Requirements:

Experience is helpful but not essential—values, attitude and a willingness to learn matter most.

You must:

Be eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Have good English communication skills
Be caring, positive, and team-oriented
Complete an Enhanced DBS check (paid by us)
