Full job description

We are looking to welcome a Legal Assistant into our Conveyancing Team, mainly to assist the Notary. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the team by providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support.

The Conveyancing team

Our team provides expert advice on a broad range of property matters, including sales, purchases, lease extensions and refinancing. The Notary sits within this team as a conveyancer but also maintains a busy notarial caseload. The main focus of this role will be to support the Notary with a variety of tasks, including diary management, coordinating appointments, preparing important documentation within tight timescales, and liaising with agents to ensure documents are correctly executed and sealed.

What you’ll be doing

Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Notary
Typing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and forms (audio and copy typing)
Managing diaries, booking appointments, and handling incoming calls and emails
Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and sensitive manner
Maintaining accurate client files both electronically and in hard copy
Assisting with billing, file opening/closing and compliance tasks

To be successful for this position, you must have / be:

Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Notary

Managing diaries, booking appointments, and handling incoming calls and emails
Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and sensitive manner
