Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our financial services team. In this vital role, you will manage the company's credit accounts, ensure timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintain healthy cash flow. Your energetic approach and strong analysis skills will help optimize our credit processes, support client relationships, and contribute to the overall financial stability of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties

Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments are received in accordance with agreed credit terms
Conduct regular analysis of overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts effectively
Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, or telemarketing techniques to follow up on outstanding balances
Record all payment activities accurately using accounting software and perform data entry with precision
Collaborate with the accounts payable team to reconcile discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly
Maintain comprehensive records of collection activities, payment histories, and correspondence
Assist in processing invoices and supporting documentation to facilitate smooth financial transactions

Experience

Proven experience in credit control or a related financial role within the financial services industry
Experience within the transport, haulage, automotive, commercial vehicle, HGV or trailer repair sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify collection priorities
Familiarity with accounting software platforms and data entry procedures
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients professionally
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice management
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
