Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for accuracy to develop their career within a supportive and growing organisation.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Reconciling customer and supplier accounts and statements
Assisting with credit control activities and resolving customer account queries
Preparing payment runs and processing supplier payments
Supporting payroll administration as required
Providing general administrative support to the finance department
Filing, organising, and archiving financial documents
Assisting with month-end procedures and other finance-related tasks as required

Requirements

Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and reliable approach to work
