Distribution & Retail Assistant

Location: Swalwell, Newcastle upon Tyne

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

We are looking for a Distribution & Retail Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and retail store.

The role involves receiving deliveries, processing stock, dispatching customer orders, serving customers and helping to maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and process magazine deliveries from suppliers.
Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders.
Process supplier returns.
Replenish stock within the warehouse and retail store.
Provide excellent customer service.
Process customer purchases through the till system.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Support other business activities as required.

About You

Good attention to detail.
Reliable and organised.
Comfortable working with customers.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
Comfortable carrying out a physically active role, including lifting and moving stock and regular use of stairs.

Working Hours

Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Wednesday: 10:30am – 4:30pm

Thursday: 10:30am – 4:30pm

Friday: 10:30am – 4:30pm

Flexibility to provide holiday cover and additional support during busy periods is required.
