Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Picker & Packer to join our warehouse team. This role involves efficiently selecting and packing products to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, possess mechanical aptitude, and be capable of handling heavy loads. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick items from stock using warehouse management systems and manual methods
Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring quality control standards are met
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where certified
Manage stock levels through stocking and replenishment activities
Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, verifying orders against documentation
Conduct regular quality checks on products to maintain high standards
Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Maintain organised work areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety compliance at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in warehousing, picking & packing, or related roles preferred
Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation (certification advantageous)
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Mechanical knowledge or aptitude is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts if necessary
