Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Duties

Conduct comprehensive inspections of motor vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks efficiently
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to accurately diagnose problems
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or heavy components
Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing customer concerns professionally

Requirements

Proven experience or training in automotive repair or related field is desirable but not essential; relevant technical qualifications are advantageous
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
Ability to perform assembly and disassembly of vehicle components accurately
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques
Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during work shifts
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
