Full job description

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our busy team. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Working Hours

4–5 days per week
Includes weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
Additional hours may be available during busy periods

Duties Include

Cleaning and maintaining kennels and facilities to a high standard
Feeding, watering, and caring for dogs in our kennels
Exercising and supervising dogs safely
Monitoring animal health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns
Assisting with grooming and general animal care
Maintaining accurate records and following kennel procedures
Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
Supporting the team with day-to-day kennel operations

The Ideal Candidate Will

Have a genuine passion for animal welfare
Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Have good communication skills
Previous experience working in a kennel, boarding facility, rescue centre, veterinary practice, dog daycare, or similar animal care environment

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in animal care within a friendly and supportive environment.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
