Full job description

Customer Account Manager (Internal Sales)

Reporting to: The Directors, working closely with the External Sales Team

The Role

We are looking for a commercially focused Customer Account Manager to join our Internal Sales team. This is a key role supporting our External Sales Team, managing customer accounts and ensuring an excellent customer experience from order placement through to delivery.

You will build strong customer relationships, coordinate orders, forecasts and stock requirements, and work closely with Production, Technical and other internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

The role also offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial career, with potential progression into External Sales and other senior commercial roles.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop relationships with assigned customer accounts.
Act as a key point of contact, providing proactive and professional customer support.
Manage customer orders, forecasts, stock requirements and delivery schedules.
Monitor customer ordering patterns and proactively identify future requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve service, retain business and support account growth.
Work closely with External Sales, Production, Technical and Planning teams to meet customer requirements.
Maintain accurate customer information and prepare relevant stock, sales and delivery reports.
Support the onboarding and transition of new customers.
Contribute to sales targets and wider commercial objectives.
Participate in operational meetings and support customer visits where required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in internal sales, customer service or account management.
Commercially minded, proactive and customer focused.
Confident building relationships and communicating with customers and colleagues.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
A strong problem solver who takes ownership of customer requirements.
Confident using standard IT systems and business applications.

A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent practical experience is preferred. Experience within manufacturing or production, and knowledge of CRM, ERP or sales analysis systems, would be advantageous.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
