Full job description

Embark on an exciting culinary adventure as a Dessert Chef, where your passion for food and creativity will bring exceptional desserts to life. In this dynamic role, you will craft delicious, visually stunning desserts that delight guests and elevate their dining experience. A key part of this role is preparing authentic and innovative tiramisu desserts and signature tiramisu drinks, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation at all times. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations will be essential in maintaining high standards of food safety and culinary excellence. Join a lively team dedicated to innovation, quality, and creating memorable experiences through exceptional dessert creations. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of dessert dishes, ensuring each item meets quality and presentation standards. Prepare authentic Italian tiramisu and develop a range of signature tiramisu-inspired desserts and layered drink creations. Make fresh tiramisu drinks, coffee-based desserts, and other speciality beverages in line with company recipes. Develop new dessert recipes inspired by local ingredients and culinary trends to keep menus fresh and exciting. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station, adhering strictly to food safety regulations. Assist in meal preparation by supporting kitchen staff with ingredient preparation and plating techniques. Serve desserts and speciality drinks to guests with enthusiasm, providing excellent customer service and explaining menu items when needed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, including mascarpone, coffee, cocoa, cream, biscuits, and speciality toppings, notifying management when stock requires replenishment. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of desserts during busy service periods. Experience Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant, café, dessert bar, or hospitality environment. Experience making traditional tiramisu is essential. Experience preparing layered dessert drinks, coffee-based desserts, milkshakes, or speciality beverages is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to dessert making and presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a professional kitchen. Previous experience serving guests in a restaurant or food service setting is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and consistently high standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude, creativity, and a willingness to develop new tiramisu flavours and dessert concepts.

Pay: £12.71-£19.88 per hour
