Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role is vital in creating a welcoming yet controlled atmosphere, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and proactive approach are valued.

Duties

Monitor entry and exit points to verify identification and maintain security protocols
Conduct regular surveillance patrols of the premises using CCTV systems and physical presence
Manage crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring safety and order are upheld
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious activity and responding appropriately
Assist with emergency situations, including providing first aid when necessary
Enforce venue policies and liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Record incidents accurately in accordance with company procedures
Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times, representing the organisation positively

Qualifications

Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
First aid certification is highly desirable
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly when needed
