We supply premier independent retailers, national chains, and major e-commerce platforms across the UK. Our brands are internationally located and are market leaders in their sector. We take great pride in having built these brands from the ground up to market-leading positions in the UK.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a practical, organised, and reliable Finance & Administration Manager to take over care of our day-to-day accounts and bookkeeping.

Because we operate with a small headcount at head office, this is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work independently. You won't be managing a large team; instead, you will be the main person looking after finance function playing a vital role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly while providing essential financial reporting to management.

Type: Full-Time (Office-Based / Hybrid flexible structure)
Location: Winsford, Cheshire (Unit 35 Meridian House)
Key Strategic Project: Leading our upcoming financial software migration from Sage Line 50 to Xero (commencing FY2027).

Key responsibilities

1. Bookkeeping & Financial Management

Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records using Sage Line 50 (leading the transition to Xero for FY2027).
Process supplier invoices in a timely manner, including multi-currency transactions (EUR € & USD $).
Monitor customer invoices, ensuring accuracy against customer price lists and product pricing matrixes
Oversee Accounts Receivable (sales ledger) and manage credit control/payment follow-ups.
Perform regular bank, credit card, and multi-currency reconciliations.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure strict compliance with HMRC requirements.
Monitor daily cash flow, flagging any anomalies or insights directly to management.
Act as the primary point of contact for external accountantsand tax advisors.

2. Management and HR Support

Prepare management accounts and financial summaries.
Continuously review and improve financial controls, reporting efficiencies, and administrative processes.
Maintain organised records and documentation.

3. Payroll and HR Administration

Process monthly staff payroll, including PAYE and NIC submissions.
Administer workplace pension schemes (auto-enrolment) and monthly contributions.
Maintain confidential employee records, employment contracts, and holiday tracking.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Ideally AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) with 8+ years of practical bookkeeping and accounts experience.
Software: Solid experience with Sage Line 50 and Xero. If you've helped a business move from Sage to Xero before, that’s a big plus!
Multi-Currency: Comfortable handling Euro and US Dollar invoices.
Mindset: High level of accuracy, self-motivation, and effective time-management skills.
