Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bakery Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in food production and baking within a professional bakery environment. The successful candidate will assist in preparing baked goods, supporting baking operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This paid apprenticeship is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to gain hands-on experience in bakery operations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes
Support food production processes by measuring ingredients and following recipes accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
Help with food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and decorating baked items
Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked and stored correctly
Follow food safety protocols at all times to uphold hygiene standards
Support the team during busy periods by providing efficient assistance in daily bakery operations

Requirements

Passion for baking and food preparation
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential
Basic understanding of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior staff
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Must be aged 16 or over and able to commit to the apprenticeship schedule
