Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and hospitality to showcase their leadership skills in a professional environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
Lead food preparation activities, including ingredient selection, portioning, and plating
Ensure all culinary operations comply with health and safety regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area
Assist in training new team members and fostering a collaborative team environment
Serve as a role model in hospitality, providing excellent service to guests when required

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing or supervising teams
Knowledge of culinary techniques and current food trends
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred
