Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting well-being, independence, and comfort for those in their care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the health and social care sector.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each person's needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition
Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all clients

Qualifications

Driving licence is desirable for transporting clients and supporting home care duties
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
