P.O.S Engineering Norfolk is a dynamic welding and fabrication company with nine years of dedicated service. We are excited to expand our team and strengthen our operations through strategic recruitment.

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organized Office Administrator to support our POS (Point of Sale) engineering team. This vital role involves managing administrative tasks, maintaining efficient office operations, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to help us grow and succeed in our new location.

Ideal CandidatePrevious experience in an engineering or structural steel environment, and familiarity with ISO 9001, would be highly beneficial

Duties

Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings for the POS engineering team
Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, directing inquiries appropriately
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
Maintain organized records of invoices, purchase orders, and other administrative documents
Assist with billing processes, including preparing and processing invoices and payments
Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering as needed
Provide clerical support such as filing, photocopying, and preparing correspondence to ensure efficient workflow

Skills

Proven office experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace,
Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Experience with data entry and clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong typing skills for efficient document processing
Previous administrative experience preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy in all responsibilities
