Are you an experienced and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant looking to make a real difference in people’s lives?

Cornerstone Healthcare is proud to be an award-winning provider of specialist care, and we’re looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our supportive team at South Africa Lodge.

South Africa Lodge is a 99-bed home providing exceptional care across six specialised units. We support residents living with complex needs, including neuro-degenerative conditions, dementia, and mental health challenges. Our focus is always on the person, not the diagnosis - creating a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment where residents can truly thrive. We are proud to be rated GOOD with CQC.

What You’ll Bring

A passion for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
A friendly and proactive approach with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues
Confident communication skills – both written and verbal
6 months minimum experience in a Housekeeping/ Cleaner position (essential)
Experience within a care home (desired but not essential)

Your Working Pattern

We offer a stable, structured rota to support your work-life balance:

Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday – 08:00 to 18:00
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday – 08:00 to 18:00

10-hour shifts, averaging 35 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping
Receive training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment
Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use
While you won’t be delivering hands-on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them
