Family Law Solicitor

Location: Stockport (Office Based)
Hours: Full-Time
Experience: Family Law experience required (PQE flexible)

Key Requirements

Qualified Solicitor with experience in Family Law
Proven experience handling divorce, child arrangements, financial remedy and other family law matters
Ability to manage a caseload independently
Excellent communication, negotiation and client care skills
Strong organisational and case management abilities
Compassionate, professional approach with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients
Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and client-focused Family Law Solicitor to join our growing team in Stockport.

You will manage a varied caseload of family law matters, providing expert legal advice and representation across divorce, child arrangements, financial remedy proceedings and other private family matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys working closely with clients, delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage a varied family law caseload with minimal supervision
Advise clients on divorce, child arrangements, financial settlements and related family matters
Draft legal documents, court applications and correspondence
Negotiate settlements to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
Represent clients at court hearings and legal proceedings where required
Maintain accurate case files and provide regular client updates
Keep up to date with developments in family law and legal practice
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support client outcomes
