We’re Hiring: Floor Supervisor

Gladstone Bistro, Stalybridge

We’re looking for an experienced Floor Supervisor to join our leadership team — someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads calmly under pressure, and sets the tone for exceptional service.

This is not an entry-level role. We need someone confident, organised, and experienced enough to step into a senior position on the floor and help drive standards every single shift.

About the Role

As Floor Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of service, acting as the bridge between front of house and kitchen and ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless experience.

You’ll be trusted with responsibility, leadership, and decision-making during service.

You must have:

Experience working at a senior level in hospitality (supervisor, shift leader, assistant manager, or similar)
A solid understanding of opening and closing procedures in a restaurant
Previous experience training and mentoring staff
Confidence working on expo, communicating clearly between FOH and BOH
The ability to stay calm, organised and in control during busy, high-pressure services
A naturally encouraging and supportive leadership style
Experience handling large bookings, obtaining pre-orders and ensuring they reach the kitchen within agreed timeframes
Confidence dealing with minor guest complaints, resolving them professionally and ensuring a positive outcome
