Sales Manager (Fresh Pork)

Role Purpose

Importo Ltd (part of the Browns Food Group) are looking for a Sales Manager (Fresh Pork) to work in the heart of Browns Food Group, driving a clear strategy with the management team on fresh pork sales. Driving sales and strategy for key products. Championing of the category to achieve business excellence.

Key Accountabilities

· Maintain existing business through effective customer contact. Building positive relationships with customers providing support information and guidance on products, researching, and recommending new opportunities and recommending product improvements.

· Selling products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective customers, recommending products and solutions. Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with customers and internal management.

· Promoting a concept and brand, maintaining effective and profitable relationships with customers.

· Driving the marketing department, working closely with the management team to ensure a clear concept is derived and delivered to customers.

· Use a range of databases, tools and market intelligence to identify prospects. Building understanding of specific marketplaces and demand.

· Working closely with the manufacturing partners, clearly translating opportunities across the business and customer base. Identifying and sharing feedback with colleagues for product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

· Maintain price files and advise customers of increases and manage expectations to ensure business is retained.

· Provide effective account planning, market intelligence, and competitor analysis.

· Deliver budgeted sales volumes, product mix and margins.

· Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising key market and customer information.

· Liaise with operations teams to check the progress of existing orders.

· Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations (online and in-person events)

· Understanding of agriculture and protein products is desirable but not essential

· UK Driving Licence

· Ability to work from Prestwick (KA9 2NS) and 1 / 2 days per week from our head office in Kirkconnel (DG4 6RB)

Ability to commute/relocate:

Prestwick KA9 2NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
