Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital part in maintaining safety standards, reducing downtime, and supporting operational efficiency across our organisation.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs promptly to minimise operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of all work performed.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Respond swiftly to emergency repairs or breakdowns, prioritising safety and operational continuity.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise impact on production schedules.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance issues.
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Engineering or Maintenance are desirable.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with safety standards.

Pay: £24,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
