Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Griller to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing grilled dishes with attention to food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare and cook grilled items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and presentation
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Serve dishes to customers when required, providing friendly and efficient service
Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene procedures
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, especially grilling methods
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Experience in serving customers is advantageous but not essential
Culinary qualifications or relevant training will be considered a plus
