Full job description

Overview

We are looking for passionate, reliable and professional Personal Chefs to join our growing in-home dining service. As a Personal Chef, you will travel to clients’ homes to prepare and cook high-quality meals tailored to their tastes, dietary requirements and preferences.

This is an exciting opportunity for chefs who enjoy working independently, creating memorable food experiences and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for preparing meals, cooking and presenting meals to a high standard, while maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout your time in the client’s home.

You should be confident working in different kitchen environments and be able to adapt to each client’s needs. Whether preparing a relaxed family meal, a special occasion dinner or a larger private dining experience, you will play an important role in delivering a professional and enjoyable experience for every customer.

Note: Customer provides the ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in customers’ homes.
Create or follow menus based on clients’ preferences, dietary requirements and allergies.
Prepare ingredients safely and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
Ensure food is cooked, stored and handled safely in accordance with food safety requirements.
Work professionally and respectfully within customers’ homes.
Provide a friendly and professional service to clients and their guests.
Adapt to different kitchen environments, equipment and client requirements.
Keep the kitchen and preparation areas clean and tidy throughout and after the service.
Communicate professionally with the company and clients regarding menus, ingredients, timings and requirements.
Deliver consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience working as a chef, cook or within a professional kitchen is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred. If you do not currently hold one, we are happy to discuss supporting you in working towards achieving it.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, professional and well-presented.
Comfortable working in customers’ homes and treating their property with respect.
Ability to cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
A genuine passion for food and creating great dining experiences.
