Full job description

We are looking for Senior Care Assistants to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, providing exceptional care and support to our residents during the day.

We are a Residential/Dementia care Home based in Ellesmere Port (CH66)

We are recruiting Care Assistants with a passion and dedication to providing high quality, person-centred care, supporting each of our residents’ individual needs.

Hours: 24 hours contracted hours per week plus overtime.

Pay Rates: £13.00ph

The successful candidate will have:

Authorisation to work in the UK and currently be living in the country
A current NVQ L2 or equivalent or be currently working towards this qualification
A minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Care Assistant
Have hands on experience in the supervision of care staff

Senior Care Assistant responsibilities include

Assist with the creation and maintenance of Care Plans and to ensure that these are followed and evaluated at regular intervals.
Review entries made in care plans by junior staff
Assist with the induction of new staff members.
Assist with the training of all grades of staff where appropriate and identify any training which staff would find beneficial.
Maintain effective communications with residents and relatives and involve them in all decisions about their care.
Liaise with all care professionals as part of an effective multi – disciplinary approach to care.
Mentor staff and act as a role model through their work, approach and professional behaviour.
Carry out supervision with an identified group of staff
Use and encourage others to adopt appropriate infection control procedures.

We require a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the UK in the Elderly care industry. In house induction will be given and we are willing to train the right person.
