Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics team.

Duties

Safely operate flatbed lorries and commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
Plan delivery routes efficiently, considering traffic and delivery priorities.
Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients, maintaining accurate records.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed lorries or commercial vehicles.
Experience in commercial driving and familiarity with delivery routes is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and record keeping.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good physical fitness for loading, unloading, and handling goods.
A professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering outstanding service while maintaining safety standards on the road.

Pay: £9.00-£218.63 per hour
