Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and hardworking Chef (All Levels) to join our tight-knit, small team at our charming country pub. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the Chef-Tenant, who is always present in the kitchen, guiding a growing business fueled by a genuine passion for food.

We offer a relaxed environment with less rigid structure and a lot more heart. Everything we serve is proudly home-cooked. This is not an easy job, but it is an incredibly rewarding one. If you currently feel unappreciated in your role or haven't been given the opportunity to prove what you can do, this is the place for you. We are different, we are a true part of the village community, and we are looking to mentor and build our next Head Chef.

Both live-in and live-out options are available.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality, entirely home-cooked dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Work side-by-side with the Chef-Tenant to manage daily kitchen operations and maintain a smooth workflow.
Contribute creative ideas to menu planning and daily specials.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene at all times.
Monitor stock levels, manage ingredient prep, and assist with ordering supplies.
Bring energy, dedication, and a collaborative spirit to our small kitchen team.

Package & Benefits

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per year (including tronc).
Pay Frequency: 13 pay dates a year (paid every 4 weeks).
Working Schedule: A great 5-day working week from Wednesday to Sunday (Mondays and Tuesdays off).
Note on Sundays: 12:00 until finish (usually no later than 19:30). Sunday features only one service, allowing for an earlier finish.

Live-In Accommodation & Location

For those interested in the live-in option, we provide a comfortable double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
