Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, control, and financial reporting throughout the lifecycle of projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards. A strong focus on cost control, effective communication, and organisational skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures to maintain financial targets.
Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to project managers and stakeholders.
Manage tendering processes, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal standards, and health & safety regulations.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met within budget constraints.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects for audit purposes.
Provide advice on cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial management in construction projects.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or other estimating tools.
Good understanding of contractual procedures and legal frameworks related to construction projects.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Relevant qualification such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is preferred. Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
