Full job description

Sales Advisor – Scotch Whisky Retail (Edinburgh)

We are an established and growing Scotch whisky retail business, operating for over 15 years with 7 stores across Edinburgh and St Andrews. Due to continued success, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Sales Advisors to join our Edinburgh team on a part-time or full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Scotch whisky industry in a fast-paced and rewarding retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert advice on Scotch whisky

Assist customers with purchases and offer tailored recommendations

Actively upsell and maximise sales opportunities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business

Replenish stock and maintain high store presentation standards

Handle cash and process transactions accurately

Support general day-to-day store operationsRequirements:

Previous experience in a specialist retail or sales environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A genuine interest and knowledge of Scotch whisky (essential)

Knowledge of other premium products (e.g. gin, rum, wine, craft beer, cigars) is advantageous

Working Hours: Flexible working across a 7-day week is essential

Part-time: typically 1–3 days per week

Full-time: typically 4–6 days per week

Salary: Starting from minimum wage plus commission
