Full job description

We're hiring Optical Assistants!
Join our team and play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting with optical procedures. If you're passionate about eye care, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, apply now!

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Assist optometrists and opticians with eye examinations and procedures.
Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and enhancements.
Help patients select appropriate eyewear and perform basic vision tests.
Adjust and repair eyewear, process orders, and maintain inventory.
Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Process orders for eyewear, contact lenses, and related products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

GCSEs or equivalent.
Experience in optical assisting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of optical products, frames, and lenses.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and proficient in basic computer skills.
Flexible availability.

Full time - 5 days a week, including Saturdays
Part time - 3 days a week, including Saturdays

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From £27,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Waltham Cross EN8 8LB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
