About Finnmark Sauna:
Finnmark Sauna is the UK's premier supplier of high-end Sauna, Steam, Spa, and Wellness products and services. We specialise in creating custom-designed sauna experiences for homes and businesses, blending innovative design with superior craftsmanship to deliver spaces dedicated to relaxation and revitalisation.
Despite having an exceptional in-house sales team, our business is thriving, receiving an ever-increasing flow of inbound sales enquiries through our eCommerce website. We are now seeking a technically minded Sales Consultant to join our growing team and provide expert consultations to our customers, ensuring they purchase all the necessary products for their sauna project and maximise their order value.
This is a very busy sales position that requires a consultative, educational, and solutions-oriented sales approach. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in technical sales or selling luxury goods. This role is best suited for someone who prefers nurturing inbound & existing leads and providing expert advice, but is capable of aggressively seeking out new business if required, and who possesses a practical and technical mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the entire sales process, from initial enquiry via our eCommerce website through to customers comfortably checking out and receiving their shipments.
- Go beyond simply meeting the customer's brief by educating and advising, curating high-value, technically robust product bundles that exceed expectations in quality, functionality, and aesthetic alignment for their sauna build.
- Proactively conduct engaging and insightful discovery calls to uncover not just stated requirements, but also unstated needs and additional opportunities to educate and add value.
- Collaborate effectively and efficiently with our in-house technical teams to remove obstacles and accelerate deal closures.
- Maintain precise communication with our stock and supply chain teams to ensure product availability aligns with — or ideally outpaces — customer project timelines.
- Track and manage your sales opportunities through the sales pipeline using our CRM system with exceptional attention to detail, sales admin, and follow-up rigour. If you cannot keep on top of your busy sales admin, pipeline, or tasks, then this is not the role for you.
- Consistently deliver responses to customer enquiries well within our expected response times, ensuring our customer experience remains outstanding even during peak season.
- Proactively manage customer expectations around timelines, helping them stay on schedule with their sauna project milestones.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years in a high-volume, consultative/technical sales role, with a consistent record of surpassing sales targets and performance benchmarks.
- Strong IT and computer literacy - must be comfortable navigating CRMs, eCommerce platforms, spreadsheets, and communications tools with speed and precision. In addition, managing inbound calls throughout each working day whilst giving exceptional, personable service to every prospect.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, managing a challenging and dynamic flow of inbound enquiries and live sales opportunities without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Exceptional active listening skills and the ability to document discussions in detail, capturing critical information to inform high-quality sales outputs.
- Deep care for accuracy in pricing, margins, and technical specifications - particularly vital given the complex nature of our bespoke sauna solutions.
- A thoughtful and clear communicator, both written and verbal, with impeccable grammar, spelling, and a professional tone in all interactions.
- Coachable and growth-oriented; actively seeks feedback and integrates it into daily performance.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and consistently proactive in progressing opportunities through the funnel.
- Based within commuting distance of Spennymoor and available to work from our HQ 5 days a week.
- Comfortable in a dog-friendly office and genuinely enthusiastic about the wellness industry.
- This role is not suitable for those lacking laptop & telephone based selling. You MUST be IT literate and extremely competent with technology.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in a similar industry and/or technical products is desirable.
- Experience with Shopify (website platform) is desirable but not essential.
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive salary and uncapped commission in a rapidly growing company & industry, with an incredible amount of inbound leads/enquiries. This is a £50k OTE role, but will be higher for a hungry sales professional who knows how to close.
- Work with an industry-leading luxury sauna provider, experiencing consistent year-over-year growth.
- Continuous training and coaching opportunities.
- Join a skilled, energetic, and dedicated team of A-players.
- 28 days of annual leave, including public and bank holidays.
- Option to purchase up to 10 additional holiday days via salary sacrifice.
- Free on-site parking.
- Access to our on-site company sauna.
