Must have experience in children's residential home setting

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Lead Support Worker to join our team. The home is for Learning Disability young people. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals, particularly children, ensuring their well-being and development. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs. A valid driving licence is preferred, as the role may involve transporting clients.

Duties

Assist individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
Provide childcare support, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or condition.
Engage clients in activities that promote social interaction and personal development.
Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Support individuals with IT-related tasks if necessary, enhancing their skills and confidence.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
IT skills to assist clients with technology-related tasks would be an advantage.
A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs.
