Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated person to lead our kitchen and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. This role requires a proactive leader who excels in food production, team management, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

We have a small kitchen so working well closely with others is crucial. We are primarily a daytime brunch café open Monday - Saturday so hours will be daytime only and no Sundays. You must be available to work between the hours 7am-4pm.

Duties

Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols
Maintain excellent EHO knowledge and compliance with all food safety regulations
Develop new menus and specials
Monitor food production timelines to guarantee timely service without compromising quality

We would like at least 1 year of previous experience either running a kitchen or being in a management role in a kitchen.

Overall we're looking for a friendly, hard working person with a passion for food to join the Duck team.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
