Overview

We are an established Nursery Group of over 20 years with nurseries in Worcester Park and Kingston. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader for our Toddler Room (18 to 24 months) in Worcester Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated group of children, ensuring their safety, development, and enjoyment within a nurturing environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on young lives. The position requires strong leadership skills, along with excellent communication abilities to work effectively with children, parents, and team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a designated room of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and learning
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Support and mentor junior staff members, promoting teamwork and professional development
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
Contribute to the organisation of the nursery’s daily operations and activities

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous
Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate occasional travel between sites or activities

Pay: £34,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
