Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing exceptional customer service and supporting pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily functioning of the pharmacy, assisting both staff and customers with professionalism and care. Prior experience in a healthcare or retail environment is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. This position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their career within the pharmacy sector.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
Manage stock levels by receiving deliveries, organising shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and customer interactions using IT systems.
Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, and processing transactions at the till.
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations.
Assist in promotional activities or health campaigns as required.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic IT literacy with experience using computerised systems or pharmacy software preferred.
Leadership qualities to support team members when necessary and handle customer queries confidently.
Organised with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication handling and record keeping.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently.
Previous experience in a healthcare or retail setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated candidates.
A professional attitude with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards.
