Job Role: Financial Controller

Location: Warsash, Hampshire, UK

Employment Type: Full Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller who will be solely responsible for managing all aspects of our finances & payroll. The role is based at our facility in Warsash where we manufacture a product range of over 1500 parts for marine and industrial use. The role is extremely diverse, the right candidate would be versatile and not easily overwhelmed by the multitude of roles they will be involved in and responsible for.

Key Responsibilities

Daily nominal ledger, sales ledger and purchase ledger postings.

Generating & Upkeep of short term cashflow.

Company credit card reconciliations and postings.

Bank reconciliations on all accounts (GBP/USD/Euro/Credit Cards/ Paypal)

Allocation of receipts (GBP/USD/Euro/Credit Cards/ Paypal)

Credit control.

Monthly HSBC invoice finance reconciliations.

Purchase invoice input.

Statement reconciliations

Weekly supplier payment runs (GBP/USD/Euro/Cards)

Prepare and setup weekly and monthly payroll. Sage

Prepare and submit DEO, Pensions, PAYE payments.

Post relevant journals into Opera 3.

Year End

Run Month-end on the 1st working day of the month.

Post monthly journals.

Accruals & control account reconciliations.

VAT returns including PVA reconciliations.

Assisting external accountants with yearend accounts.

Assisting external consultants with annual R&D Claim.

Adhoc support and reporting for directors.

The successful candidate would ideally have been in a similar position in previous roles where they are solely responsible for all areas of finance and payroll.

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
